What Do I need to become a driving instructor?
In order to become a driving instructor you will need to be at least 21 years of age or more and have held a UK driving licence for at least 3 and half years. You will also need to be able to read a number plate from 90ft / 27.5m. Commitment is also key, qualities such as keeping calm, influencing trust and being able to relate to your pupils will help you be a better driving instructor.
ADI Training Involves
The ADI qualification is made up of 3 parts:
  • 1. Theory Test
  • 2. Practical driving ability test
  • 3. Practical instruction ability test
